When Is a Pickle
...not a pickle? I know somewhere in this blog that I would always be somewhat hesitant in complaining about my beloved White SOX since they achieved something I never thought possible.
However, in two consecutive games the SOX had a Devil Dog in a run down (on Friday caught between 3rd and home) and Saturday (between 1st and 2nd) and someone failed to cover one of the bags. Each time the base runner got back safely because of poor SOX defense. Now on Friday it didn't matter but Saturday it turned a sure 3rd out into an inning where Chicago's biggest money pitcher since Old However Many Fingers...gave up runs and went on to lose a game to some nobody with an 8.80 ERA in that Nothingdome in Florida.
Let's hope the SOX don't try to put on the Wheel play today. It could get ugly.
