Here is something I probably should not have said in front of another human being...It seems quirky banter is the pathologically normal, company man robotic "how's the wife and kids Bob" mode of speaking for our age. One who is unable to respond or keep up with the strangely consistent random-talk now seemingly required by polite conversation is considered something of an oddball at best, and me at the more miserable end of the spectrum.

I blame Seinfeld.
