Wednesday made me grateful for our lack of a smart grid (in spite of some of the more thoughtful rhetoric of the 2016 campaign, yes that's out there but ain't nobody got time for that)

Brown out took out power at our little corner of the biomedical tech/cobbler economy...

No phones, no lights, no customer data base...

At some point in the morning there was nothing to do but to send us home (or in my case to the golf course)

Before going our separate ways my good buddy in the repair department and I had the following exchange.

SC: Can you give me a ride home?
Me: Sure. I love Brown Out Day!
SC: Oh, by the way Jewel has Jameson on sale for $19.99
Me: Hey you live not far from Jewel.
SC: Yup.
Me: Duly noted.
SC: Brown Out Day gonna become Black Out Day
