Not Myself

I can't believe I'm saying this...

The Tigers have been unstopable the last few weeks - or everytime the SOX win, they win. I'm going to be cutting the grass and doing some work outside with my lovely lady today - but I've got 'GN on in the house and I'm pulling hard for the baby bears. Please don't tell my kid.

Let's all say it together: "Go Cubs Go!"

I'm so ashamed.

Dude,
I fully and completely understand. But don't worry, the Tigers have young pitchers - they'll fade come September. They've never been in a pennant race.

You rock G to the M...Kenny R has been a first half pitcher in recent years too...

I actually sort of like the Tigers but they've been quite annoying lately. I do think it would be good for baseball if the AL Central sent two teams to the playoffs.

Oh well, it's hard to root for the CUbs - How do people watch this team? Glendon has thrown 50 pitches or something and it's only the 1st Inning

Somebody's got to stop these Tigers...it might as well be the team we least suspect.

Notice that Barret's out of the game. He tweaked something.

Possibly on purpose.

The ONE time we actually WANT the cubs to win, and they lay a big turd. The Sox are gonna miss Thome this weekend.

This blog has become a family affair. First my sister, then my cousin/brother

Ain't this sweet.

Too bad the f'in cubs f'd it all up

Just so you know sis - olekobe & I are rooting for the Cubs because they are playing the Tigers and the Tigs and SOX are in a dogfight for the AL Central and nothing has been able to stop Les Tigres lately.

'N olekobe, re: missing Thome - the beloved SOX have put up a 12 spot on the Redlegs (sorry Sultan, no smack talkin' from me) let's hope they can (what would Spammy say?) "keep it continue"

And it was nice to see Freddie getting a hit...

...with a bat...

...in the baseball game.

I knew I liked that guy for a reason. He's just so relaxed.

no, fuck those fuckers

I just sent you an e-mail - I'm still waiting to hear if Alex and I have to go to this party. I think we'll be able to make the game and then swing back to St. Chuck or Geneva or wherever the fuck...

But I wanna go - believe me. You rock Di and thanks again for not giving up on me. Alex and I are a lot of fun at the ole ball game.

Watching parts of the game yesterday I understood alot about the Cub fan experience. You folks are tougher than I thought.

I also understand why at the end of the Take Me Out to the Ballgame 7th Inning stretch thing, the singer always says "Let's get some runs!"

they always seem to need some runs.

Finally, all due respect Ms kConflict, with the competence level of the Cubs this year, I think the only way they can win is if they decide to throw the game.

Does that make any sense?

Great picture of D and E from your trip. Rock on

Go Cubs go!

There's no shame in rooting for the Little Bear when your own Sox interests are at heart, but this is why I hate interleague play.

I have no qualms about quietly rooting for the Sox as I see it contributing to the greater Cub good. As long as their interests do not collide, I don't care if the Sox do well or not, but South Side competitive dominance may actually force Cub management to, say, improve the team.

I'm mercenary that way.
