AKYNot
I just heard a fantastic interview with the guy who wrote the new AK-47 book. The author seems to have this useful, detached view of the weapon, it’s importance, what it did/continues to do for warfare and it’s more sordid cultural impact in the West.
Apparently Mikhail Kalashnikov is planning to market a new vodka.
I think we all know what to get DC Liar for Christmas.

I brought that Washington Post article with me today to read on the way home from work.
The dude was great. Aside from the standard AK story how it makes war cheap and anybody can be a soldier and how non-professional soldiers can make a lot of trouble for big armies on litte $$...he had a ton of extra sutff about Kalash himself and the aura surronding the weapon.
His demeanor was perfect, sort of cool/detached the only thing that seemed to bother him were the way dealers all over the world sold the guns for money even as they understood the political/social ramifications behind their actions...the AK dealers don't give a whit for ideology or the impact of their action - they just want the $$.
I love the AK-47 in "San Andreas."
Forgive my ignorance, aw hell I'll just come out and say it Grant. I don't know what the hell you're talking about
