Weekend's End
Weird weekend, I think.
Told my band I was one drink away from going to a meeting and asking Pat Clapp to be my sponsor. Cousintoucher or no, his story is one where sobriety ends up being not so boring.
Unlike Eric Clapton.
At weekend’s end (?) I don’t think I’ll need to be working toward that first chip any time soon. Played a rock show on Saturday and only consumed two cans of beer. Hosted a family gathering Sunday and only had one glass of Scotch.
I’m fine for now.
Much love to Ladi Di, Eli, Jason, Bob, George and Mary for bringing bigDrag back to CJ’s and helping us to make the rock. Great to see my old neighbor Shawn at the rockshau as well. My favorite part of the night is not going to sound to PC but let’s just say it’s already been that kind of weekend. Noticed that there was a midget in a beautiful red party dress sitting by the video poker machine (for entertainment purposes only) – I asked one of the bartenders, “Is she here for one of the bands or is she a regular?” The bartender said, “I’ve seen her here before.”
Pretty edgy, playing a bar with a semi-regular midget.
Or not.
Joe and I decided that efficient driving routes between Rockford and DeKalb are overrated, hence we got to see so much more of our dingy-assed state at night. Sorry to all of the rest of you losers who were having stimulating conversations, hot monkey-sex, great late dinners/early breakfasts, or home in your warm beds. Me and the Dog were hauling ass aimlessly down 90 East and we are the better for it.
No we are not.
The text message negotiations for the Rav4 continue. I am also going to have to spend some money on some stupid shit real soon and I am not happy about that. Slugged my way through two good M.O.I. pages today and for that I am happy or at least not full of soul-crushing angst.
