Prior Condition
Our long national nightmare has finally come to an end. If he has only one outing left in that ravaged, strained shoulder, please let calf-zilla have that good outing today. Somebody's got to stop these Tigers. Boy is that Joe Mauer thing looking great for the Twins. Actually, if it wasn't for the Prior/Mauer thing - the SOX wouldn't have AJ.
Something like that.
Sorry about your Redlegs Mr. Sultan of Swaff. Can someone be a Mr. and a Sultan?

Oh, yea. Congrats Sox.
Present are reporting for duty, sir. Commence with the smack talk. In fact, I insist on it. I knew the Reds had a tough stretch, but after watching how they've played against the Shlubs, Brewers and Sox, I'm about as pessimistic as a guy could be. I'll trade you Dunn for McCarthy straight up. I'm not exactly dealing from a position of strength here, am I?
I'm not interested in talking SOX Redlegs smack because I sort of like the Reds. I would like to hear the good Sultan's remarks about the piss poor performance of the National League in these recent series - I can name three weekend sweeps from off the top of my head - A's over Dodgers and the obvious two...
and has it really been two years since an NL team won a World Series game?!?! Sultan you seem to be the one person who is a fan of teams in both leagues...I know it sounds dated - but I am an American League guy - always have been...
Should I be puffy chested and scoff at those who argue that they are fans of the NL game? Should I say the NL may be a better brand of baseball being played by inferior teams - or what?
Seriously, sorry about the Reds - SOX played out of their minds this weekend. Garland went yard - what're ya gonna do? If he was still on the Cubs he'd be batting 6th.
Hope the SOX can stick it up the Cardinals' Pujhol
AL domination is nothing new. Historically, they've done very well. I've seen stats on pitchers who switch leagues, and on average their ERA goes down a full run. Easy to see why Clemens resigned with the Astros, huh? The only thing the NL is better than the AL (with the Sox last year as the lone exception) is situational baseball. But really, how often does that matter if they're getting outslugged because the other team has a real DH and the NL team has some slap hitting mosquito (gotta love Bernstein) who is no better than a utility player? I'll always be an NL guy because I grew up during the glory days of small ball, the '70s. Remember those wooden little league bats with the fat handles? I think it was some sort of NL conspiracy.
Thanks fopr dropping the K Sultan. I loved the situational naseball in Sat's SOX Reds game when Ozzie decided to leave Jose in for the 7th (I think) but then Jose surrendered two runs - and in the bottom of the same inning the SOX walked the bases loaded to get the Reds to pull their pitcher.
That shit is neat and it was fun to see the moves unfold. I'm still a fan of the AL teams, but its fun watching the games in NL parks.
Tigers, Indians, Twins and SOX all winners tonight (this is Tuesday now) - AL central is taking it to the NL central. Could KC win too?
