The Turd Eating Edwards
I’m glad the ‘08 race has started early.
The Senator from New York has already tried to make it the kind of campaign she’d be far more comfortable with after the remarks of the DGC….or at least DG himself.
I don’t think the DGC means anything anymore, which is ok for me. What do I care about big record labels?
Oh what a horrible dreamworks.
I wish the Obama campaign guy had never responded with the Lincoln bedroom remark. To the extent that folks directly associated with Obama respond to this crap, they play into Sen. Klinton’s hands.
Obama seemed to be able to maintain his dignity personally and distance himself with the ‘I can’t speak for my contributors’ remark…but if you want to change the tone Senator, your campaign officials are part of the tone – ya gotta get them in line. Sorry, that’s the price of poker. Senator Klinton, or any idiot really, can fight with you and besmirch you by proxy if this kind of crap keeps up. You need to be the guy above the fray. Look down on all the douche bags in the Democratic crowd like you did to Keyes in the Illinois Senate race. You need to be a symbol of hope and a new direction. Your only hope – esp if Rudy’s numbers keep going the way they are going on the R side – your only hope is to be the candidate of the post-post-9/11 world. Reality or not, that is the image that suits you best. That is the best card you have to play.
Our country is a beacon of hope, not a fortress to be protected. Real or not, you need to reflect a vision of America that ends the mistake in Iraq and says we are moving on with issues that matter to this nation – security being one of them for sure, but the best place for America is moving forward not holding her own. I am not saying there are any real policies associated with these positions – but that this is the image that the Junior Senator from Illinois must project.
Back to the pre-pre-primary cycle because all that crap above is in the murky future…

For now with Obama and the D’s…
Hopefully the Obama crew learned something this week. The best chance Senator Klinton has of maintaining her position…
…and maybe more importantly the best chance douches like Senator Edwards, and (do I dare say it?) Oscar Nominee Al Gore have…is if Obama is brought down my this kind of poo wrangling.
The three days since Wed have shown Edwards looking as confident as he has this whole pre-preliminary cycle or whatever the hell you want to call it.
That is sad when the week’s events can leave the turd eating Edwards looking confident.
Somebody had a great line about the values of the R field by the way. In talking about Mayor G's three divorces and all the other maritial woes of the R-hopefuls...they said "What does it mean when the only canditate in the race who has one wife is a Mormon?"

That's a great line at the end. I thought the quick response from Obama was okay. If he said nothing, Clinton could have jumped on it again and again. By bringing up the Lincoln bedroom - she's not going to touch it again.
