Hey St. Jude

I am going to try and make this post as obscure as possible and not going to name names, but last night during and after Ash Wed Mass, I prayed to St. Jude for a friend of mine who has been, for lack of a better term, incapacitated for some period of time.

Today, I saw them out and looking healthy and relatively happy. I don't know what this means but I am thankful. I don't expect to use this as evidence that rational people should pray to and honor St. Jude. But, for the record, I pray to and honor St. Jude. Many years ago my beloved grandmother told me she prayed to St. Jude. I asked her, "The one who turned in Jesus?" She said, "No Eddie. The other one." She said she prayed to and honored St. Jude and that I should consider doing this as well. She said, "If you are lucky enough to not be a lost cause you will know someone who is and this is how you pray for them."

Thanks for the beautiful words from all those years ago Grandma V.

Now on to more petty matters, which after all is the business of this blog. Last week I was foolish enough to think I was getting better at my new job and somehow I could combine my new job with my other responsibilities. Reality has set in and how. Due to circumstances beyond my control I have to be engaged in other activities for large parts of my day making me fall hopelessly behind with things I am responsible for, every day. I guess this life is not for finishing things.

Ed: If there were a "Like" button to hit on this post, I'd do it. And I'd do the same if there were a "Like" button to hit on your grandma. Not that I'd hit on your grandma . . . well, maybe I would if I saw her. She might be really hot . . . But then you'd probably hit ME, so I think I'll just let it go.

Anyway, I like your observation on St. Jude and I hope your friend's okay. For what it's worth I prayed to St. Jude for him, too.

I created a new blog, myself -- this one on Blogger (I have another on Live Journal.) I listed "Ajusted" as one of the blogs I'm following and was stoked to discover that my sideboard not only shows that I'm following it, but also lists the title of your latest post. I find that to be pretty cool. It's a good reminder for me to check out your site. I always enjoy reading it.
Count me as one of your "tens of followers."

Cheers!

By the way, Ed, I don't know if your friend is a "he," even though I characterized it that way. Whoever they are, my best to them. je

Thanks JE. My friend is a she and I really believe this is something of a miracle. I really I doubts I'd be seeing much of this person again and so far, things look a lot better.
