Poor Devin
My buddy was sick last night but we still had a great practice. More work on Whyspeak, Don't Know and a secret surprise song written by an old friend of mine that is going to rock the next time bigDrag plays a show. Chris mentioned that we have another show if we want to book it. I said book it but I forgot the date. Once I talk to Chris again or check my e-mail and get the correct date I'll post it here. There are no lies allowed on this blog. Only Liars
We love our Liar.
I've got to get on the stick and get some cub tickets for his return to the MidWest. I better get one for Joe too since he is the reasonable middle ground between two charged poles...
I said poles.
SOX won in Oakland last night and that was a pleasant surprise. I always pencil in two or three losses when the Good Guys go out to that big green shithole by the Bay. Jose looks like he had his head together, pitched out of a few jams and got just enough support from the bats and the pen to make for a fine night. Yesterday was a good day. Feel better Mr. D.
Watching the SOX game tonight...I don't know how Garland will do the rest of the game but someone should send Z and Rich Hill a tape of #20 on the mound fielding his position from the 5th Inning. He gave up a lead off triple, retired the next three batters and left the poor bastard over at third wondering 'What the hell happened to my lead off triple?' Garland can relax his body, field a grounder, hold a runner @ third and still step into the throw and make it cleanly over to first. This is not to say that Garland has the explosive, dramatic stuff of either Hill or Z, but he is an accomplished defensive player (and not a total waste in his few ABs...he even had a dong last year vs the Reds if I'm not mistaken).

I missed the game yesterday. But I'm surprised because Oakland's had the Sox number for years.
I am starting to hate Wrigley. I think God is going to make Cub fans choose.
You can win a WW just not while you are playing in Wrigley.
Bitter sweet, bitter sweet. The funny thing is...
I would take it. As much as I love the friendly confines....
I want to win more.
I say this right now becuase I see the Cubs starting a losing streak at home to a crap Houston team.
Shakes fist in air....
It's May 17th.
If the Cubs move to Hoffman Estates, I might actually check out a few games.
Love it or hate it, this would be the year to take the tour of the grounds while the Cubs are on the road. It's pretty enlightening but it will also probably not make you love it any more. It's only $25, too.
I can't wait. Keep me in the loop.
On the case of Cubs v. Wrigley I'm coming down firmly on the side of the inanimate entity. No, Wrigley.
Without that park the Cubs are the fucking Devil Rays as far as I'm concerned.
uh, the Devil Rays have gotten off to a pretty good start.
Sorry, that was uncalled for.
I have had the great fortune of getting a tour of Wrigley from my ex's uncle. He showed me shit that you don't find on the public tour that was often strange and answered some of the questions that the regular tour guides make seem rather mysterious. If you ever get the John McD tour, you are in for a treat and proly a lot of beers.
