Safe

Took the day off Friday to spend it with the boy. It was officially the last weekday before school starts. Mom was slammed getting ready for the year. The boy and I had a good time chilling out, doing errands and practicing cartooning. We also burned the first two discs of Decisive Battles from the library.

Alex told me the other day, "Dad I know it's weird but I like it when it is raining."
Me: "Why?"
Alex: "Sometimes I like to sit in the living room and watch it. I feel safe in my house."

That absolutely made my whole week and made me feel as if I did something right.
