Congrats TR

Much love and congratulations going out to my sister-in-law. She ran and finished the Chicago Marathon today. I don’t know what her official time was but come on – she ran 26.2 miles. TODAY! Does it really matter what the time is? She ran the race and didn’t die. Part of me still thinks it’s crazy to run that thing. That was my whole argument to KJ when she ran and completed it in a strong middle-of-the-pack time.

We all know the story of the man who ran however many stadia it was that equals 26.2 miles in modern measure. Wha? He ran it, offered his message and died. I told Kim, in his honor no one should ever run that distance again.

This is another one of those times in my life where I am happy to admit I was totally wrong. I was so moved to see Big Sky running even stronger at mile 18 than she was at mile 6. To see her motoring past SOX park was unbelievable. When Al and I picked her up about ½ hour away from the park (yes traffic was such that she and her friend Trish had to walk ½ hour after running 26.2 miles) – I was moved to tears. Sooooo proud of my girl.

…as we all are of my sister-in-law today. Great job TR. Keep those muscles moving tonight so you don’t get stiff.
