There are some thoughts spoken aloud so pointless that polite conversation requires my non-response.

Last night I had to remind the boy not to give me horns during Mass.

I've witnessed the boxed and bagged garbage you ingest around the office on a daily basis. I'll keep my own counsel regarding flavor.

iPhone Surprise

Texted Kim to let her know I found her iPhone and was somehow still surprised by the beeping from my pocket.

World Sorta Sorts Itself Out

Yesterday Alex came home and said, "Mom I got you a present for International Women's Day."

KJ:    Honey that's so sweet, what is it?
Alex: I'm going to IHOP so you don't have to make me dinner.
KJ:   Why IHOP?
Alex: It's National Pancake Day.

Every once in a while the world seems to sort itself out.

Resisted the Urge

Bernie Sanders supporters showed up at my house this weekend distributing sensible and cost-effective campaign literature reviewing the candidate's most important positions and why they should matter to me. While I admire their passion, I'm grateful for two things...

First, they showed up 45 minutes before two of Donald Trump's biggest supporters came to my house

Second, I resisted the urge to ask them - Who do think has more angry white people on their side, Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders?

I love this country

Also resisted the urge to say, "Do you think you're guy is a taller Kucinich whose campaign isn't a total joke but with a less hot wife?"

That's three things isn't it?

I love this country, and I'm glad Kim answered the door.
